 lic Policy Advisor, Tramore Group\nFormer Ontario Finance Minister\n\nJa
 net L. Ecker has a proven track record of leadership inside and outside 
 government in public policy and public affairs. A former Ontario Finance
  Minister, she managed some of the toughest files at Queen’s Park from
  social services and education, to economic policy and public-private pa
 rtnerships.\n\nNow President of the Toronto Financial Services Alliance 
 (TFSA), she heads a growing public-private partnership dedicated to incr
 easing Toronto’s role as a global financial hub. Established in 2001 b
 y the City of Toronto, in partnership with the financial industry, TFSA 
 works on behalf of the entire financial cluster, including its business 
 and educational support sectors. With both the federal and provincial go
 vernments now joining the partnership, TFSA has established the Global R
 isk Institute in Financial Services to leverage the sector’s global re
 putation for stability, as well as the Centre of Excellence in Financial
  Services Education to capitalize on Toronto region’s talent advantage
 s.\n\nPast chair of the Rouge Valley Health System and a former fellow w
 ith the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University, Ms. Ecker curr
 ently sits on a number of corporate and not-for-profit boards and agenci
 es, including Canadian Medical Association Holdings Inc., the Stratford 
 Shakespearean Festival and the Commonwealth of Learning. She is also a m
 ember of the Ontario Finance Minister’s Economic Advisory Panel. A fre
 quent public speaker and media commentator, she was the first woman to d
 eliver a budget in Ontario in 2002. In 2003, Ms. Ecker received a "Canad
 a’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award" from the Women’s Executive N
 etwork and the Richard Ivey School of Business. She is also a member of 
 the founding committee for Equal Voice, a national, multi-partisan organ
